Canon 7D Tutorial

Since you are reading this Canon 7D Tutorial you are probably the proud owner of a Canon DSLR. Whether you shoot on a Canon 7D or any other model doesn’t really matter as many functions are similar across the different models. So while I will be using the 7D for demonstration purposes, you can easily apply most of it on any other Canon camera.

So what can you expect to learn?

My objective with this Canon 7D Tutorial is to give you hands-on instructions and practical advise on how to set up your camera and make best use of the basic and more advanced functions you have at your disposal. The goal is to get you shooting because photography and filmmaking is about the output, the pictures you shoot: Subjects, composition and lighting should be your main focus, not the technical parameters of your camera. While there are no bullet-proof recipes or ideal camera settings to shoot great pictures, I hope these how-to guides will help ease the technical challenges we all face at some point or another and allow you to take advantage of the advanced features your camera has to offer. If user manuals explain many functions and settings, they usually don’t put them in context, which makes it difficult to know when to use them and how they can be helpful. Hopefully the detailed tutorials here will clarify a few settings and help you shoot the pictures you want.
